After school yesterday, Kelsey met with Mr. Paul Bonneau at the local CCS office. He kindly agreed to pose for a photo (and gave his permission for posting) as he accepted her cheque for $463.07, the full amount raised at her garage sale.
On November 25, 2004, my Grandma, Doris (Golding) Hunt, passed away after a long battle with cancer. I miss her very much. I have decided that, even though I am young, it is going to be my personal goal to raise $100,000 "Doris Dollars" for cancer research, any way that I can. Someday soon, there will be a cure and no one else will ever have to miss their loved one like I do.
The year 2006 brought a lot of changes in my life. I became a teenager and started high school. When I graduated from elementary school, I was proud to be chosen Valedictorian and also to win several awards, including “Best All-Round Female Student.” Those awards showed me that, if you work hard, you can achieve great things. During my summer vacation that year, I had a lot of time to read and think and plan. I decided that I want to do things in my life that are valuable. I want to help other people. My goal, right now, is to become a physiotherapist or a psychologist but, in the meantime, there is a lot I can learn about the world and how to make a difference.
This section will be updated as I deliver donations to the CCS office or receive reports of online donations from the CCS. If you have made a donation and do not see the amount included here, please don't worry! It will appear in the very next update. Thank you very much!
